The Varzuga
The Varzuga has its source in Vala lake in the middle of the peninsula and winds its way to the White Sea fed by many tributaries along the way.It is 260 km in length and drains an area of 9840 square kilometres, similar to the Spey in Scotland.Although a big river it is not generally deep and offers mile after mile of outstanding fly-fishing water. You can learn more about salmon fishing in a week here than in a lifetime on a Scottish or Norwegian river.
